About Flock

The Beginning

The flock was started in the autumn of 2007 during the chaos of the Foot and Mouth outbreak. I was fortunate to purchase four in-lamb ewes privately from the Edstaston Flock of Robert and Jeanette Gregory in Shrewsbury. Later that year I travelled to the delayed Exeter Production sale and added a further three lots from the Trevadlock Flock in Cornwall. These seven ewes gave us a great start, many of their offspring and descendants remain in the flock today.

Each year since beginning the flock I have added females from some of the UK's top flocks. This continues to the present day, they have come from flocks such as Edstaston, Southam, Wraycastle, Glyncoch, Elmwick, Parkgate and Logie Durno flock. I have also purchased rams at the Worcester Premier sale. They have come from Logie Durno, Edstaston, Arjane and most recently Rhaeadr. I look forward to their positive influence on the Bronwydd flock.
